I do hate CoD, guitar hero, rockband and Bobby Kotick, but that is no reason to bash modern games and DLC. The only time dlc is bad is when the content is already on the game disc and you are just buying an unlock key or when it is blatantly overpriced, but that only matters whether or not people are willing to pay for it or not. All they do is add more variety to the online multiplayer, and for many other games give you more quests, items, and places to explore like in Fallout 3. No one is held at gun point and forced to buy CoD map packs. Well DLC is not all that bad when done right.
Get hold of some SW developers and look into developing sowftware that can take advantage of this Xbox interface. Hey Justin, this could be the next avenue you pursue as you continue to develop your guitar lessons. I do think it could be a very valuable tool for learning and improving the skills of a guitar player if it were done right. Since I have not seen this game yet I have no idea what is in it. I think that is a model that could be very effective with taking lessons from a private instructor being the next logical step. In addition you could then practice those chords in a game setting and receive immediate feedback. Videos in a game demonstrating the same chords in Justin's Beginner's course would be just as effective as watching Justin's videos. They do not frequent the message boards or interact with anyone on this site in any manner.
When you think about, what does offer that cannot be included in a game? The majority of people who frequent this site watch a video and then practice on their own. I can envision a game that could be very useful when it comes to learning guitar. I think I will take a wait and see approach on this.
